Sikkim: Lockdown extended till June 14

After the High-Level Meeting which was chaired by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang Concluded today at Samman Bhawan, the decision to extend lockdown was decided to look into various factors related to Covid-19 Management in the state.

After the High-Level Meeting which was chaired by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang Concluded today at Samman Bhawan, the decision to extend lockdown was decided to look into various factors related to Covid-19 Management in the state.

The notification issued by the Home Department Government of Sikkim stated the state will remain under lockdown till 5 am on June 14, 2021.

Further, it was added that all state government offices shall start functioning with up to 30% of staff, further, the heads of the departments are advised to issue specific orders for the attendance of the officers and staff required for the opening of the offices.

In addition, it was also advised to the concerned HODs to facilitate only local transport of the required employees

The notification further stated that all shops are permitted to operate vide the previous order issued on May 30, shall remain open from 7 am up to 2 pm.

Furthermore, it was also mentioned that “Hardware shops will be permitted to open from 7 am till 2 pm. Movement of Vehicles carrying hardware items shall also be permitted.”
