Joe Biden has won the close race against Donald Trump to become the 46th President of USA. However, the president-elect has to wait until the inauguration day i.e. January 10 to become the new President of the USA.

The fight for the presidentship between the Republican party candidate Donald Trump and Democratic party candidate Joe Biden has finally ended, with the latter's Presidential candidate winning by 270 seats, as Pennsylvania state turned blue a few minutes ago.

The delay in verdict can be attributed to the high turnout of mail ballots due to the pandemic. Joe Biden requested the citizens of America to vote quickly.

In a win for women, Kamala Harris also becomes the first black, Asian-American woman to become Vice President.

Joe Biden extended his gratitude towards his fellow voters by tweeting:

“America, I am honoured that you have chosen me to lead this great country. The work ahead of us will be hard but I promise you this: I will be president for all Americans – whether you voted for me or not I will keep the faith that you have placed in me .”
