In the first two matches of first day in First Women's Tournaments the winners won by eight wickets

Kanchangjunga Shield First Local Women's Cricket Tournament commenced today at Sikkim Cricket Ground of Mining, Rangpo of East Sikkim. The tournament is being organised by Sikkim Cricket Association which is voting member of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)

There were two matches held today where all the women were of under 19 players. The first match was between Team Mount Siniolchu and Team Mount Pandim where Mount Pandim won the match by eight wickets by scoring the target of 71 in 12 overs. The player of the match was Samayita Roy Prodhan. In the second match the Team Mount Kabru beat the Team Mount Simvo by eight wickets. Team Mount Kabru scored 74 in 12 overs. The vice captain of the Team Mount Kabru Purnimaya Gurung was declared as the player of the match.
