Department of Labour conducts three days inspection of Pharmaceutical companies of East and South district

The inspection by the department was mainly for the purpose to ensure whether the Pharmaceutical company were following the directives issued by the Department during the second wave of the covid19 pandemic. During the inspection, the officials inspected both the company and the management separately.

Department of Labour conducts three days inspection of Pharmaceutical companies of East and South district

The minister for Labour Department M.N Sherpa along with Labour Secretary Namrata Thapa along with other officials from the Labour department inspected various pharmaceutical companises of the east and south district on June 2, 3 and 4.

The inspection by the department was mainly for the purpose to ensure whether the Pharmaceutical company were following the directives issued by the Department during the second wave of the covid19 pandemic. During the inspection, the officials inspected both the company and the management separately.

Further according to the official press release from the department it was found that the company are complying with the directives directed by the labour department

Following to which the press release also mentioned that “full-time doctor and nurses to be made available in the company premises with ambulance facilities”

The department also suggested to the company to induct casual workers into the company payroll after the completion of  5 years of service based on performance and attendance

Furthermore, the press release added “Company to maintain social distancing in the changing, lunchroom of the workers.
