As per the FIR registered by one 54 years old female (Grandmother of the survivor) against one 30 years old man, at one Police Station of East Sikkim stated that ” on November 24 during daytime when she was expecting her minor granddaughter to come for lunch but she didn’t turn up. So when she went looking for her granddaughter in her house, she found that the minor victim aged 5 yrs. and Gopal Rai (uncle of minor victim) were inside a room which was locked from inside”
“So she took the minor victim and when they reached her house, she found that the minor victim was bleeding from her private parts. After that she realized that the accused person Gopal Rai had sexually assaulted the minor victim” added the police report
The accused has been taken into custody by the local police and has been booked under under section 6 of POCSO ACT 2012.
